THE STORY:
I was scouting for a location to view the full moon the next morning. As I scanned the area, I realized that the moon would be rising behind the mountains later that day. So, I grabbed my snowshoes and found a position that would be timed for the moon rising in the soft evening light. That moment when the sun sets and the moon rises at the same time is my favorite, even if it's not a 100% full.
