THE STORY:
This is one of my favorite pictures I have ever taken.
How the purple hues of the tiny flowers in the foreground complement the vastness of the sky is something I really love about this scene. Making this a vertical panorama shot of 3 images combined with a focus stack for the foreground, I tried to keep the complete landscape in focus, further emphasizing the connection between the sky and the plants. Although the mountains play an essential role in the story here, I made them a bold part of the photograph without overpowering the milky way. I hope this image inspires you to step outside and relish the tranquility of the starry night, as I did.
